Earn Points for things you want.

I am changing it up a bit. Instead of sharing my ways I make money online, I am going to share a couple of ways I save money online. Specifically how to earn points for gift cards and other prizes. I started using these kinds of sites a few years ago and they definitely have paid for a few great nights out. The first one I stared using is called MyPoints. You do not have to spend a dime to make points with this site. There are many ways to get points for gift cards.  Here is how you can add up those points fast:

BonusMail-You can sign up for BonusMail and receive 5 points for every email you click on. You can also earn more by completing the offer in the email. I skip the ones that cost money and complete the ones that don't. It could be earn 5 points for every dollar you spend on this site to sign up for a free offer for 25 points. The points add up fast. I get about 5 emails for BomusMail a day.

SurveyMail- This is very similar to BonusMail except you get points for completing the surveys. If you do not qualify for the survey, you still get points. If you do qualify, you get even more points.

Deals- This portion of MyPoints is extensive. You can save money here and earn points at the same time. You can earn points so many different ways here. Earn when you print and redeem coupons, use one of the daily or local deals, use  the free shipping finder or the free trials on this section. I use the coupons and save a quite a bit of money while earning points.

DealShare- This is a great section on the website. You can earn points by sharing deals that you like on Facebook. Currently, there is a Mother's Day deal that I just shared and used.

Shop- I don't normally use this section but you can earn points for every dollar you spend on the sites listed in this section. there are a lot of merchants listed and you will rack up the points fast is you use this section to make most of your online purchases.

EasyPoints Finder- This is a great toolbar for earning points quickly. This toolbar will inform you of where you can find points. You can also use it to do web searches and earn points as well. The more you search the more points you can earn. This is where I get most of my points.

These are just a few different ways to earn points. I feel I would make this post far too long if I list them all. The gift cards you can redeem your points for are great. There are restaurant, retail, airline miles and many more options to choose from. I usually pick a restaurant gift card because I like to eat. I do recommend signing up for this site. This is overall a great way to save money and earn points to redeem for gift cards from many different sources.

I little bit of cash can also be useful.

I love finding new websites and new ways to take up my time. Why not get paid while I am at it?

Why not. I have found the perfect site just for getting paid to browse the web. Gomez Peer Zone is just the ticket.

What is Gomez Peer Zone?

Gomez is a company looking for internet users from all over the world with any kind of internet connection to help them monitor online performance. You will install an application on your computer which will see how long you are online and how much of that time you are online that you are processing information over the internet. You do not need to to anything else. Install the app and watch the potential earnings grow. When I first read about this, I was very skeptical and had a lot of questions.

Is this a scam? No, they really do pay people to stay online.
What is the potential earnings? There is a limitation to the amount you can earn a month. You can only earn a maximum of $45. At that amount, I do find this worth doing.
How often do they pay? Gomez will pay once a month. They also use Paypal as their form of payment.
Will this slow down my computer? I have not seen any change in my computer's performance. It does run in the background and uses very little resources to run.
Would this application be considered a virus or spyware on my computer? No, It does not show up as a threat on any antivirus or antispyware programs.

I have never made $45 but it seems to get better. I earn a little more each month. Overall, this is a great way to make a little cash virtually doing nothing. Here is the link to the Gomez Peer Zone sign up:

Test a site and get paid!

I love finding new websites and trying them out. Just recently I found out that you can test sites and get paid for it. I have found two sites that will pay me for my opinion. UserTesting and Userlytics. UserTesting and Userlytics are a little different but essentially the same. With both, you will create a video chalked full of your opinion about the website you are testing and about the task they want you to perform. The differences are small.

UserTesting
The sign up process is different than with Userlytics. You sign up and record a sample video and they will decide whether or not they will approve you for paid testings. The video will need to be 5-15 minutes long. Do not just follow the instructions on what you are looking for. Be very opinionated and speak what you are thinking out loud. If you feel the button you need to click is hard to find, say so. If you like the layout of the site, comment out loud. I think you get the idea. After you record the sample video you will answer some questions about the site. If they approve you, you will be able to log in and test sites. The approval process takes about 24 hours. You will need a microphone for this site.

Userlytics
You will not need to record a sample video when you sign up with Userlytics. The sign up process is quick and pretty straight forward. You will need a webcam and a microphone with this site. They want to see your face and how you react to what you are doing on the site. Just like UserTesting, you will be given a task or two to perform on the site you are site you are testing. After you record your video, you will also answer a few questions. Again, be very opinionated and think out loud. The first time I tested a site, it felt really weird talking to myself. You will get used to it and get better at it.

I would not count on this as your primary income. The amount of tests available each week may vary. One week there could be 4 and the next week there could be only 1. Also, if you do not jump on them as soon as they are available, another tester could pick it up. My advice on getting these tests is to check often, accept tests quick, be opinionated, and have fun. You will get paid $10 for every test you do. $10 for only 10 minutes of work is pretty sweet.

Here are the sites to get started:

You can make money answering questions. Woot Woot!

A friend of mine that I met working with Arise told me about a human answering service called ChaCha. This is one of the coolest sites I have ever laid my eyes on. Basically, a customer will ask ChaCha a questions and a ChaCha guide will answer their questions. This is an independent contractor opportunity. This is not an employment opportunity. I have been working with ChaCha since January 2011 and I have answered thousands of questions so far. If the customer can think of it, you will answer it. There are currently three different ChaCha guide roles.

  • Transcriber ($.03 per completed task) The Transcriber will answer questions that are called in. Any question they cannot answer using the tools they have available to them will be sent to a Generalist/Specialist.
  • Generalist/Specialist (between $.10-$.20 per completed task) The Generalist/Specialist will research any questions that the other two roles cannot answer and send a great answer to the customer.
  • Expediter ($.02 per completed task) The Expediter works almost the same way as a Transcriber but they answer questions that are either from the web or sent as a text message. Any question they cannot answer using the tools they have available to them will be sent to a Generalist/Specialist.
I am an Expediter. I cannot speak for the other two roles but traffic is always abundant with this role. I can make anywhere from $10-$20 a day depending on how long I answer questions. I do read the forums a lot for ChaCha guides and I have seen that some people can make about $50 a day. These people are what I call too fast for the eye guides. They can read and respond to questions extremely fast and it pays for them.

ChaCha also has weekend contests where you can make extra cash when you work during those times. They also have other contests that they usually present during high traffic as incentives for guides to answer more questions. This opportunity has paid most of my bills so far.

It is free to sign up with ChaCha and they do train you from your own home on how to answer the questions, login, and use the interface. Also, The ChaCha guide forum is a great way to get better at answering questions and learn from other guides experience. When you do start the to take the Readiness Test ( evaluation before starting) after training, you can go to the forum and ask for help or read the forum posts to help you better understand how the Readiness Test works. Here is the link for becoming a guide:

The beginning of my Couch money making Journey

I will begin my blog with the beginning of me sitting on the couch. Where my journey began. After a bad experience with working with other people, I decided that I would work better in a room by myself. What a better way to do that than to sit on my own couch in my jammies. I am not saying that I do not like people. I am simply saying that I do not like working with other people. I am sure some of you reading this can relate to this. When I am working, I want to be utilizing all of my time getting on the clock fulfilling my task. I do not like hearing other employees complaining, slacking around, and not doing their jobs. It is a less of a distraction if I am working by myself. Working at home saves me gas money and time.

My older sister told me about Arise Virtual Solutions. Arise is a company that works with self-incorporated home based Arise Certified Professionals. Basically, working with Arise, I can work for a big name client at home. They provide phone, chat and e-mail based opportunities. I have worked a phone and chat opportunity. There are start-up costs with Arise but I ended up making my start-up money back within the first pay check. You would need to start a corporation. It is fairly simple to do and is probably to most costly of the start-up costs. I preferred the chat based opportunities over the phone based opportunities. With the phone based opportunities, you would need to have a land line and a very quiet office. With the chat based opportunities, you would need to be a fast typer and good a answering customers quickly. I love the chat based opps because I can listen to music and I do not have to have a quiet office. I felt more free to travel and work with the chat opportunities as well. The training is done at home as well.

I do recommend taking a look at this option. I make at least $800 a month if I fulfill the basic requirements and work at least 25 hours a week. Here are some links to the Arise site that will better explain and help you understand how Arise works.

Welcome!

Thank you for reading my blog! My name is Stephanie but you can call me Stephie. I started working online sitting on my couch for about a year now. I hope to add a new post a day showing how I make my money online. I will explain in detail how each site works and how you can make it work in your favor. I do not make a ton of money a day but I make enough to pay the bills and a few extra things I need around the house. Some of the things I do make more money than others. A lot of what I do is fun and easy. Please feel free to comment and share your experiences.
